Accommodations: Upon arrival, you're escorted directly to your air-conditioned room or suite as part of the seamless check-in process. The accommodations have a private lanai, yukata robes, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, cable TV, a safe, an iron and an ironing board, and a hairdryer. The family suite has 2 spacious rooms. The presidential suite has: a wrap-around lanai with panoramic views of the beach, the ocean, the mountains, and Lanai and Molokai; original artwork; a Sheraton Sweet SleeperSM bed with a 4-post koa wood frame; a kitchen; a Jacuzzi tub; and a bidet.

Dining & Entertainment: Casual Keka'a Terrace, where kids age 12 and under eat free with a paying adult, serves breakfast and lunch. At Teppan-yak Dan, watch your delicious Japanese delights being prepared tableside. Contemporary cuisine and entertainment are on the menu at Black Rock Steak & Seafood. Be enticed by the all-you-can-eat buffet at the sunset luau and enjoy the thrilling show, including syncopated drumming and fire-knife dancing. Pick a place on the resort's 23 acres for a romantic meal, served by a private butler, in the Dinner Under the Stars program. Cross over a wooden bridge to the Lagoon Bar for tropical libations and sizzling barbecue. Enjoy drinks and hear local musicians perform at the Reef's Edge Lounge. As the sun sets, watch a diver re-trace the steps of Maui's last chief, who leaped from Black Rock into the Pacific Ocean as a show of his spiritual strength. The resort helps promote local musical styles as part of the Flavors of Island Music program.

Recreation: The white-sand beach is among Maui's best. Go snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, kayaking, and more. Spot whales from December through April. The 142-yard freshwater swimming lagoon, set among lush tropical gardens, has lava rock waterways. Relax in the outdoor spa tub, and watch your kids splash about in the children's pool. Keep limber with yoga and Pilates at the fitness center, get up a doubles match on a lit tennis court, and have a rejuvenating massage at the day spa. The whole family can join in for a scavenger hunt, raft races, and coconut husking and weaving. Youngsters have arts and crafts fun at a sister property's kids' club, and golfers head straight for the two 18-hole courses are nearby.
